The quickest way to get a roof looked at is to ring. Call (02) 9000 1127 and describe what is happening, and you will get a straight answer about whether it is urgent and what the next step is.
If it is easier to write it down, use the quote form further down this page. It reaches the same place.
What to tell us
The more of this you can give us, the more useful the first conversation is:
- Your suburb, since access and travel differ a lot between, say, Waitara and Brooklyn
- The roof type — terracotta, concrete tile, metal, or you are not sure
- Roughly how old the house is, or when the roof was last worked on
- What you have noticed — a stain, a drip, a tile on the ground, an overflowing gutter
- Whether water is coming in right now, because that changes the priority
- A photo, if you have one. A picture of a ceiling stain tells us more than three paragraphs.
If water is coming in now
Say so when you call. Active ingress goes to the make-safe queue rather than the ordinary booking list. Stay off the roof and out from under any ceiling that is sagging, and switch off power to that part of the house if water is near wiring. The storm and emergency repairs page has the rest of what to do while you wait.
